Are you new to therapy and have been contemplating starting but want to see results fast? Or have you been feeling as though you’ve been in therapy for years but it’s been hard to see results? Or you get to an insightful spot in your therapy session but the 50-minute session is up and you have to wait to pick back up on the topic next week? Have you done EMDR and felt that you didn’t get enough time to fully move through reprocessing your traumatic experience? Did your couples therapy session feel too short for both you and your partner to feel heard and seen while also diving deeper into your patterns?
Then Intensive Therapy with one of our clinicians may be the right fit for you. Intensive therapy is an immersive and concentrated form of therapy that allows clients to engage in extensive healing work over a short period. Typically conducted over several consecutive days or sessions, this approach provides longer durations of focused therapy, which can lead to profound insights and emotional breakthroughs. Clients delve deeply into their issues, such as trauma, anxiety, or interpersonal challenges, benefiting from sustained support and guidance from their therapist. This concentrated effort enables individuals to explore their feelings and thoughts in a way that traditional weekly therapy may not accommodate, often resulting in notable progress and transformation in their mental health and well-being.

What makes intensive therapy a more cost-effective and time-efficient option compared to traditional weekly therapy?
Weekly therapy typically looks like:
10-15 minutes of checking in from the last session
20-30 minutes of EMDR or other therapy approaches work
10-15 minutes of closing the session and talking about takeaways
You might spend a month working on one specific stressor, costing around $600 for the 4 weekly therapy sessions.
However, in reality, unforeseen issues can arise between sessions and you may feel you need to deviate from going back to your last week’s topic to process the new unfoldings, and then from there the focus of each session can change substantially from week to week.
So you might actually be in weekly therapy for multiple months ($600 x’s # of months) and still not feel fully resolved in the issue causing you stress right now.
What it can look like with a Therapy Intensive Package:
- 10-15 minutes of checking in, establishing session focus
60-210 minutes of EMDR or other Therapy Approaches
10-15 minutes closing the session
You might fully resolve one or multiple stressors within half a day, costing around $300-800. 1.5-3 hours of Brainspotting/EMDR processing is equivalent to at least double that amount of talk therapy sessions so you’re doing more work, in less time, needing less therapy overall.
You’ll feel better, sooner.
You spend less on symptom-managing medications. You don’t have to keep taking time off of work or paying for childcare to attend your sessions. You don’t have to be in a fog of emotions the rest of the day or the next couple of days because you’ll have resolved those feelings.
