Hi I’m Amanda!

I love helping people become who they are meant to be.

Oftentimes, past pains and traumas stand in the way of our own personal growth, but I believe change is possible for everyone, and have seen just how resilient humans truly are. One of the most wonderful parts about being a therapist is sitting with a person who feels so broken, holding that pain with them, and creating a space for healing. I am here to work together with you to resolve these past issues so that you can shed the weight of pressures that have been placed upon you, and help you live the life you want to live.

Clients often come to me to find meaning and purpose again in life after experiencing challenges and traumas relating to faith transitions, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, interracial relationships, women’s issues, divorce, anxiety, depression, and grief. I offer a collaborative, safe space to explore these issues together.

Faith, Family, and Healing: Therapist’s Journey

I attended college in Utah, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Human Development and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. Throughout my education, I have focused the majority of my research on how faith transitions in and out of Mormonism affect the individual as well as the family unit, multicultural individuals and families in Utah, and the impact fathers have on the family unit.

I decided to become a therapist because I truly love helping people through the hardest moments in their life.

I’ve since moved to Chicago, Illinois, and have been able to connect with people here. I love being able to help both Utahns and Chicagoans.
